Effect of this amendment The quantity of Import item Phenol was fixed long back in SIONs and with the advancement of technology etc., over a period of time, the consumption of phenol is reduced and accordingly, it was incorporated in SIONs. In addition to this, in amended Standard Input Output Norms (SIONs), the lower GSM of import item- Tissue paper and lower thicknesses of export product Laminates have also been incorporated which will facilitate the exporters to boost the export.
