This circular pertains to the implementation of automation in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty or for Specified End Use) Rules, 2022, specifically for Export Oriented Units (EOUs). Due to representations from EOUs regarding difficulties faced in registration, generation of IIN details, and submission of bond details, leading to delays in clearance of goods, the Board has decided to implement the automation from 17.09.2024 onwards, instead of the earlier notified date of 01.09.2024.
