DGFT exercised powers under paragraph 1.03 of FTP 2023 to establish new Standard Input Output Norms (SION A-3684) for Chemical and Allied Products. The notification specifies import-export ratios for Metronidazole Gel USP 1% in two packaging variants: 55gm pack requiring 0.561gm Metronidazole Micronized USP per pack, and 60gm tube requiring 0.612gm per pack. This administrative measure standardizes input-output quantities for manufacturing and export purposes, enabling manufacturers to accurately calculate import requirements against export obligations under various export promotion schemes.
