7. Scrutiny of application for licence. - On receipt of application under regulation 5, the 1 [Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be] may make enquiries for verification of the particulars set out in the application and also such other enquiry as he may deem necessary, including enquiries about the reliability and financial status of the applicant. ---------------- Notes:- 1.
