2017 (5) TMI 1765 - SCH - CustomsJurisdiction - certification of correctness of inventory - conduct of proceedings under Section 110(1B) of the Customs Act, 1962 - Binding precedent or not - HELD THAT - The special leave petition is dismissed leaving the question of law open. It is agreed that verification of the stocks in question, for the purpose of Section 110(IB) of the Customs Act, 1962, be made by the Judicial Magistrate or any person authorised by him for the purpose. No objection shall be raised in this regard by the parties concerned.
