The Appellate Tribunal CEGAT, Kolkata upheld the confiscation of steel extruded dies by authorities due to non-maintenance of RG-1 register, with an option to redeem on payment of Rs. 40,000 fine. Personal penalty of Rs. 10,000 was imposed. The Tribunal found no merit in the appeal and rejected it.
