Rule 22. 1. During the period of investigation, the competent authorities of the importing Signatory Party shall not suspend new importing operations relating to identical goods from the same exporter or producer. However, they may request a guarantee, in any of its modalities, in order to preserve fiscal interests, as a precondition for the completion of the importation operations. 2. The guarantee amount, whenever it is requested, shall be according to Rule 18.
