Article 21 - Remuneration received by teachers - Malta (Old - Effective upto 1-4-2015)Extract Article 21 - Remuneration received by teachers - 1. Remuneration which a professor or teacher who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State for a period not exceeding two years for the purpose of carrying out advanced study or research or for teaching at a university, college, school or other educational institution receives for such work shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such remuneration is derived by him from outside that State. 2. This Article shall not apply to income from research if such research is undertaken primarily for the private benefit of a specific person or persons.
