Subject:- Share transfer - Registration of ‑ Whether it is obligatory to disclose address of transferor ‑ shareholder while returning documents under objection for non ‑ tally of transferor s signature Reference is invited to para 14(iv) of the minutes of the 26th Meeting of the Standing Committee of Presidents of Stock Exchanges held at Madras on the 8th and 9th December, 1978 according to which it was decided to amend the listing agreement to make it obligatory on the part of the company to disclose in the objection memo, address of the registered shareholder while returning the documents under objection for non‑tally of his signature to facilitate easy contact with him. The question of amending the listing agreement to incorporate the above decision of the Standing Committee has been considered by the Government. While it may not be necessary to amend the listing agreement to provide for the matter, stock exchanges are hereby directed to advise the companies listed with them to comply with the above decision of the standing Committee of Presidents of stock Exchanges.
