Administrative Control over EOUs, EHTP and STPs by Central Excise formations TRADE NOTICE No.01/2013, dated 21-1-2013 Attention is invited to Facility Notice Nos. 2/2006, dated 19-5-2006, 3/2006, dated 30-5-2006 and 4/2006, dated 31-5-2006. In partial modification of the aforesaid Facility Notices, it is decided that all matters relating to 100% EOUs/EHTP/STPs, Customs Bonded Warehouses and other Customs related work in the jurisdiction of Mysore, which are currently under Service Tax and EOU Division, are now attached to their respective Central Excise Ranges under the jurisdiction of the concerned Divisions of Mysore Commissionerate. Hence, with effect from 1st February, 2013, all the 100% EOUs/EHTPs/STPs falling within the jurisdiction of Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts may approach their respective Central Excise Range/Division Offices for their day-to-day work. In view of attaching the 100% EOUs/EHTP/STPs to their jurisdictional Central Excise formation, the existing Customs EOU Range bearing Location Code 840505 is abolished and the existing Service Tax EOU Division is accordingly renamed as Mysore Service Tax Division. Further, Nanjangud and Thandavapura Range, which were functioning under Service Tax EOU Division for Customs purposes in terms of Facility Notice No.3/2006, dated 30.05.2006, will henceforth function under Mysore-III Central Excise Division. Consequently, the existing assessees under EOU Range will function under the Ranges and Divisions specified against their names in the annexure enclosed to this Trade Notice. This Trade Notice is issued with the approval of the Chief Commissioner of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax, Mysore Zone, Mysore.
