Export of value added Sugar in consumer packs upto 2 kgs. during 1999-2000 GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE POL CIR NO. 13(RE-99)/1999-2000 DT 04-06-1999 Sub: Export of value added Sugar in consumer packs upto 2 kgs. during 1999-2000. Attention in invited to the entry at S. No. 25 of Schedule 2 of Appendix 1 of the book titled "ITC(HS) classification of Export and Import items 1997-2002." 2. It has been decided to release a ceiling of 25000MTs of value added sugar in consumer packs upto 2 kgs. During the Current Licensing year of 1999-2000 and place it at the disposal of APEDA who will allocate the ceiling as per procedure laid down by them. This quantity of sugar is in addition to about 30,000MTs of sugar under the existing preferential tariff quota for the United States and the European Union. 3. APEDA will ensure that the overall ceiling earmarked for value added sugar in consumer pack upto 2 kgs shall not exceed the limit of 25,000MTs for the Current Licensing year 1999-2000 under any circumstances. As soon as the ceiling is exhausted, APEDA will report this fact to the M/O Commerce, EP(Agri.II) Section as well as to this office. 4. A Trade Notice may be issued for the information of Trade and five copies thereof may be sent to the office for record. 5. APEDA shall furnish a monthly statement indicating the full details such as name of the exporter, quantity allowed, FOB value and destination to the M/O Commerce EP(Agri.II) Section with a copy to the Director of Statistics of this office.
