HB Vol.1 - Para 6.15 - EPCG Scheme - DGFT - 48(RE-99) 1999-2000Extract HB Vol.1 - Para 6.15 - EPCG Scheme GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE POLICY CIRCULAR NO.48(RE-99) 1999-2000 Dated: 13/1/2000 To, ALL LICENSING AUTHORITY ALL COMMISSIONERS OF CUSTOMS Attention is invited to Public Notice No.33 dated 01.10.99 which allows the competent authority to issue EPCG licenses to the applicant the basis of fixation of nexus by Hqrs, EPCG Committee. It has come to the notice of Directorate General of Foreign Trade that the request for all kinds of amendment are ma e to HQ, EPCG Committee in respect of licenses issued by RLA/ZLA. Many such amendments are or minor nature referring such cases to Hqrs may result into delay/in import or clearance of the capital goods. It has, therefore, wing kinds of amendment may be made by the RLAs/ ZLAs without :- (i) Amendment in the model/ specification of the item without any change in the quantity/value etc. in respect of the licences issued by RLAs/ZLAs on the basis of the clearance by Regional/Zonal EPCG Committes/Hq. EPCG Committee. (ii) Amendment in the quantity with enhancement in value within the financial power of RLAs/ZLAs in respect of cases cleared by Regional/Zonal EPCG Committee. (iii) The request for extension of Export Obligation Period in term of Paragraph 6.15 of the current Handbook (Vol. I) may be considered by RLAs/ZLAs in respect of cases cleared by Regional/Zonal EPCG Committee respectively or by RLAs/ZLAs.
