HB Vol.1 - DEPB Rate list - Appendix 28A Public notice No. 11 (RE-99)/1997-2002 dated the 7th June, 1999 In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 - Sub- section (ii) vide S.O No.283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Appendix-28A of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-99), 1997-2002. 1. The following note shall be added below serial number 27,28 and 57 of electronic products: "The exporter shall furnish a certificate from Department of Electronics or from the jurisdiction Central Excise authorities stating that the export product has been manufactured by them in India. However, if the exporter furnishes AR-4 form, no separate documentation should be insisted upon". 2. The following amendment shall be made in the DEPB rate of electronic products: S. No. Description of item of export DEPB rate VALUE CAP 42 Television- B.W of all Screen sizes including projection T.V and video projector in CKD and SKD thereof. 18% 48 All types of capacitors 13% 50 Coil, transformer, inductors 16% 55 Deflection components 19% 57 Hard/soft ferrite parts Rs.80/kg for Hard ferrite. 19% Rs.120/kg for soft ferrite and 91 TV tuners 10% 92 Gamma ferric oxide (Audio Grade) 15% 3. The DEPB rate for the following S.No. of Engineering product shall be amended to read as follows: S.No. DEPB rate 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,31,32,33, and 400 16% 4. The value cap against S.No. 70 of chemical product shall be corrected to read as Rs.1150/kg. 5. The DEPB rate for the product given at S.No. 141 of Engineering product shall be to read as 10% 6. The following shall be added at the end of S.No. 583 of rate list of Engineering product : Product Group: Engineering Product Code : 61 S.No. Description of export product DEPB rate Value cap 584 Single phase motor 11 % 7. The S.No. 14 of food product as given in Public Notice No. 8(RE-98)/ 1997-2002 dated 8th May, 1999, shall be corrected to read as S.No. 15. 8.
