Amendments in the Hand Book of Procedures (Vol.I), 2004-2009 reg. produce a pre-shipment inspection certificate or consignment to 100% physical examination for import of all kind of Metal Scrap PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 51/2004-09 Dated 31/01/2005 In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following additions in Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I). 1. At the end of Para 2.32, the following paragraph will be added : All kinds of metal scrap which has been shipped or has arrived in India on or before 25.10.2004 and has not been cleared for home consumption will be given the option to : (a) produce a pre-shipment inspection certificate as laid down in Appendix - 28 (Annexure - I); or (b) subject the consignment to 100% physical examination in terms of Custom Circular No. 56 / 2004 dated 18.10.2004.
