Amendments in the validity period of import licenses /certificates/permission/CCP etc. issued during the period w.e.f. 1.4.2004 to 31.8.2004 - DGFT - 02 /2005Extract Amendments in the validity period of import licenses /certificates/permission/CCP etc. issued during the period w.e.f. 1.4.2004 to 31.8.2004 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 02/2005 Dated 20/04/2005 As a measure of greater facilitation for exporters the validity period in respect of various import licenses was extended in the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 announced on 31.08.2004. A number of representations have been received from various exporters/trade associations requesting for allowing the same validity period for the import licenses/ certificates /permission/CCP etc. issued during the period 1.4. 2004 to 31.8.2004. In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby amends the validity period of import licenses/certificates/permission/CCP etc. issued during the period w.e.f. 1.4.2004 to 31.8.2004 as indicated below: (i) Advance Licence (including Advance Licence for Annual Requirement), DFRC and Replenishment licence for Gem Jewellery as per Chapter- 4 of the Policy 24 months (ii) EPCG licence (other than spares) 36 months (iii) EPCG Licence for Spares, refractories, catalyst and consumables Co-terminus with the Export Obligation Period of the EPCG Licence. (iv) Others including CCP and Duty Entitlement Passbook Scheme, unless otherwise specified 24 months (v) Advance Licence for deemed export (including Advance Licence for Annual Requirement) 24 months or Co-terminus with the contracted duration of execution of the project whichever is later. The licence holders, desiring to avail the benefit of extension in the validity period, as indicated above, may present their licenses to the concerned licensing authorities for getting an endorsement made on the body of the licence to that effect.
