Extension of DGFT service counter at newly created state of Chhattisgarh Trade Notice No. 08/2002 Dated 17/07/2002 Subject: Extension of DGFT service counter at newly created state of Chhattisgarh. At present the DGFT has no regional office in the newly created state of Chhattisgarh. Therefore, the Trade Industry located in Chahattisgarh area has no facility to avail the services of the DGFT. As a result Trade and Industry in this region have no alternative but to send their applications to the Office of JDGFT, Bhopal, located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Keeping in view the difficulty being faced by the Trade and Industry of Chhattisgarh region, it has been decided to open an Extension Counter of the office of JDGFT, Bhopal in the premises of Directorate of of Industries, Tejibad, Link Road No.1, Raipur. The extension counter at Raipur will collect the applications from the members of Trade and Industry in the Chhattisgarh region and will facilitate and guide them in respect of matters related to the export import policy. The applications submitted at the counter will be scrutinized and after ensuring the compliance of deficiencies by the concerned exporters, if any, the same shall be sent to JDGFT, Bhopal for issuance of licence/IEC etc. as the case may be. After issue of licence/IEC, etc. the original case file will be retained in the office of JDGFT, Bhopal and documents will be sent to extension counter at Raipur for delivery to the concerned exporters by post against surrender of original receipt number to the holder of valid I. Card, as applicable. However, it will not be compulsory for the Trade and Industry in the state of Chhattisgarh to file the applications only through the extension counter, and they can send their applications directly to JDGFT, Bhopal also. The services of Extension Counter is an additional and optional facility provided to the exporters in the region.
