Approval of the Central Government for turnkey power project for the purposes of section 44BBB of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Circular No. 552 Dated 9/2/1990 The provisions contained in section 44BBB of the Income-tax Act, 1961, refer to approval of certain turnkey power projects by the Central Government. 2. It is clarified that an approval issued by the Department of Power in the Ministry of Energy shall be deemed to be the approval of the Central Government for the purposes of section 44BBB of the Income-tax Act, 1961. 3.
