ESTATE, NEW DELHI-110002 TRADE NOTICE NO. 2 DATE:-13/07/11 In order to encourage online filing of Import Export Code Number (IEC) applications and to give priority to those applicants who come to office to file IEC applications themselves, following procedure has been laid down:- 1. All IEC applications filed online up to 12.30 pm on a particular day, if complete in all respects, IEC number would be generated on the same day and would be communicated to the applicant by e-mail . As a result, applications filed after 12.30 pm would naturally be processed on the next working day. 2. In case Proprietor/Partner/Director/Signatory of the application comes to office himself/herself to file IEC application, he/she will be accorded priority. He/She is required to approach PRO directly, where the application will be scrutinized on priority. In case application is found complete in all respects, IEC number will be given to such persons across the counter. However, IEC document containing signature as well as photo of the applicant would be sent through speed post as is being done presently. (N.P.S.MONGA) ZONAL JT.
