Declaration relating to ozone depleting substance - DGFT - 04/AM-11

Government of India Ministry of Commerce DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE MUMBAI ZONAL OFFICE ZONAL POLICY RESEARCH UNIT NISHTHA BHAWAN, VITHALDAS THACKERSEY MARG, CHURCHGATE, MUMBAI - 400 020 TRADE NOTICE NO. 04/AM-11 Dated 15 th February, 2011 Trade Notice No. 03/AM-11 Dated 8 th October, 2010 was issued advising members of trade and industry to furnish declaration as to whether the input(s) in the application for advance authorization/DFIA were Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) or not. The sole purpose behind issuance of this trade notice was to ensure that ozone depleting substances do not get imported under advance authorization/DFIAs to be issued, as stipulated in Policy Circular No. 52(REP) dated 06.01.2009. This declaration, however, is relevant only where input(s) are chemical substances. It has, therefore, been decided to modify the said trade notice no. 03/AM-11 dated 08.10.2010 to that extent. Henceforth, the declaration relating to ozone depleting substance shall be mandatory only where input(s) are chemicals items.
