In exercise of powers delegated by the Central Board of Excise and Customs vide notification no. 29/2014-Central Excise, (N.T.) dated 16th September, 2014 the jurisdictions of Commissioner of Central Excise (Audit) and that of Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals) in Nagpur Zone are hereby specified under rule 3 of the Central Excise rules, 2002. 2. Accordingly, the jurisdiction of Commissioner of Central Excise (Audit)-I, Commissioner of Central Excise (Audit)-II is specified in column (3) of the Table-I and the jurisdiction of Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals) Nagpur is specified in column (3) of Table-II. The headquarters of Commissioner of Central Excise (Audit)-I Nagpur will be located at Nagpur, and the Headquarters of Commissioner of Central Excise (Audit)-II will be located at Aurangabad. The Headquarters of Commissioner of Central Excise (Appeals) will be located at Nagpur. 3. The subordinate officers of the offices of the Commissioner of Central Excise (Audit)-I and Central Excise (Audit)-II are specified under Table I(a) and Table I(b) respectively. TABLE I SL. NO. The Audit circles will be headed by Deputy/Assistant Commissioner, and will comprise of Audit Groups. The Audit groups will conduct audit of Central Excise and Service Tax assesses in accordance with the provisions of Central Excise Act, 1944 and the Finance Act, 1994 the ru1es made thereunder. 5. The jurisdictions indicated above shall come into force with effect from 15th October, 2014. All the Trade Associations and Chambers of Commerce 'an Industries and Members of Regional Advisory Committees under the jurisdiction of Commissionerates Nagpur-I, Nagpur-II, Wardha, Aurangabad, Nasik-I and Nasik-II are requested to bring the contents of the Trade Notice to the knowledge of their members and other concerned persons immediately.
