Consequent to the Cadre restructuring and issue of Trade Notice No. 29/2014-CE and 30/2014-CE both dated 07.10.2014 regarding the jurisdiction of Rajkot and Kutch (Gandhidham) Central Excise Commissionerate, new CDR ( Commissionerate / Division/ Range ) Codes have been notified which are circulated vide Trade Notice No. 34/2014 dtd. 14.10.2014. In this connection, please see the enclosed copy of the Member, CBEC, New Delhi s D.O. letter F.No. 96/42/ 2014-CX.1 dated 10th October, 2014 for ready reference, guidance and strict compliance. In this regard, all the officers of Rajkot and Kutch (Gandhidham) Commissionerates are hereby directed that till the migration to the new CDR is completed, all assesses/ service providers may be suitably advised so that they continue to pay duty using their existing (old) CDR Codes even after 15.10.2014. The revenue paid by the assesses/ service providers is also to be reported as per the old zones and Commissionerates till further instruction. Once migration is completed, auto generated emails will be sent to the assessees/ service providers by Directorate General of System. Till then, all the officers of the Range Division may suitably guide the assesses/ service providers to pay the duty/tax as per the existing CDR, till they are migrated to the new CDR Code. However, w.e.f. 15.10.2014, Show Cause Notices where ever necessary, would have to be issued as per the new jurisdiction circulated vide Trade Notice No. 29/2014-CE and 30/2014-CE both dated 07.10.2014.
