Commissioner of Customs (Seaport-Imports), Chennai Public Notice No. 202/2012 Dated 13-9-2012 Attention of the Steamer Agents, Importers, Exporters and their representatives (Custom House Agents) is invited to this Custom House Public Notice No. 76/2007, dated 2-6-2007 declaring the Container Freight Station of M/s. Chandra CFS and Terminal Operators Pvt. Ltd., Kammavari Palayam, Chennai 601203 as CUSTOMS AREA for handling of FCL Import and Export Cargo. 2. In exercise of powers conferred under Sub-section (b) of Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 , I, JANE K NATHANIEL, Commissioner of Customs (Seaport-Import), Chennai, declare an additional area measuring 4 acres including covered shed area of 24500 Sq. Ft. for handling Import and Export Cargo, covering under Survey Nos. 164 and part of 163/2, part of 168/1 and part of 167/1 of Ernavoor Village, as claimed by the CFS management, adjacent to the southern side of the existing notified area of the CFS as CUSTOMS AREA for the purpose of examination and clearance of cargo imported in FCL containers which were allowed to the moved from Chennai Port (other than LCL Cargo and Passengers unaccompanied baggage) and examination, stuffing/loading of export cargo into containers under Customs supervision and sealing of the same by Customs with Customs seals. Boundaries : North : Existing Area of CFS covering Survey Nos. 165/2a 164 part, 166/1, 167/1, 168/1 and 165/31 Land bearing R.S. 168/6. South : survey No. 163, and 168 East : survey No.166,167 and 168. West : S.No. 164,165 and Kammavar Palayam Village Road, 3. The procedure for dealing with Import FCL Cargo (other than LCL Cargo and Passenger s unaccompanied baggage goods) and Export Cargo are to be followed as provided under Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009 and other Public Notices issued from time to time on the above subject. This Public Notice shall come into effect from 17-9-2012
