Appointment of Custodian of Imports for Chettinad Coal Terminal - Customs - Public Notice No. 193/2012

Commissioner of Customs (Port-Imports), Chennai Public Notice No. 193/2012 Dated 4-9-2012 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 45(1) of the Customs Act, 1962 , M/s. Chettinad International Coal Terminal Pvt. Ltd. having registered Office at Rani Seethai Hall Building, 9th Floor, 603, Anna Salai, Chennai 600 006 is appointed as CUSTODIAN of import of Bulk cargo unloaded at Coal Stock Yard Chettinad Coal Terminal situated on western side of Ennore Port, until the goods are cleared for Home Consumption or warehoused or transshipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VII of the Customs Act, 1962 , ibid. M/s. Chettinad International Coal Terminal Pvt. Ltd. having registered Office at Rani Seethai Hall Building, 9th Floor, 603, Anna Salai, Chennai 600 006, as the Custodian of bulk cargo imported, would be required to comply with the provisions of Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 and Customs Act, 1962 . This Public Notice shall come into effect from 7-9-2012.
