At present applications for issuance of fresh IEC are being received in three modes as below: i. Manual Application ii. Online Application without Digital Signature iii. Online Application with Digital Signature 2. In case of Online applications, the IECs are automatically sent by the system to the applicant and there is no need for this office to take the print out and again send the same to the applicant. However in case of manual applications being received at present, the physical copy of the IECs are being sent through speed post at present. 3. At present all applications for modification of existing IEC are being received online mode only. 4. However, with effect from 01.04.2016, all applications for Issuance also are to be made online only and this office shall not be accepting manual application after 31.03.2016. 5. It is also requested that the applicant may furnish only his own e-mail id and not of any others like a consultant or representative or auditor since all communications like deficiencies/important correspondences shall be made to the e-mail id specified in the application only. 6. As per Notification No. 34 dated 29.01.2016 , the DGFT HQs has specified the documents to be uploaded/submitted for IEC application. The same shall be complied with from immediate effect. 7. At the time of filing the applications, while filling Column (vii)(a), of the ANF 2A, which is the column for choosing preferred activity, if the applicant has preferred the status as Manufacturer Exporter, then such applicants are requested to upload/submit copy of Industrial License/Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum Part II. If the applicant has preferred the status as Service Provider, then he/she shall upload/submit the copy of Service Tax Registration Certificate. These documents shall be in addition to the documents specified in Notification 34 dated 29.01.2016. However Merchant Exporter may submit documents as specified in Notification 34 dated 29.01.2016 only. This Trade Notice is being issued to facilitate trade and with an explicit objective of streamlining the process of applications for issuance of fresh IEC/Modifications of IEC and hence support from Exporters/Importers Community is requested to make this arrangement to succeed and make this office paperless and transparent.
