Office, Ahmedabad - reg. Attention of the Custodians of all Container Freight Stations, Inland Container Depots, Minor Ports and Jetties under this Commissionerate is invited to Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations (HCCAR) 2009. 2. As a measure of trade facilitation, a Centralized Customs Cargo Service Providers Management Cell has been constituted for all ICDs/ CFSs/Ports working under the jurisdiction of Ahmedabad Customs Commissionerate. The objective to create the Cell is to strike an optimal balance between facilitation and enforcement and to promote a culture of compliance. The said Cell will perform following functions:- a) Issuance of notification regarding Landing places/jetties/ICDs/CFSs/Ports etc. under section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962. b) Issuance of notification under section 45 of the Customs Act, 1962 relating to appointment of Custodian and Customs Cargo Service Provider (CCSP). c) Monitoring of compliance of rules and regulations by the Customs Cargo Service Providers (CCSP) under the Handling of Cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009. 3. The CCSP Management Cell shall function at Custom House Building under the supervisory of the Assistant/Deputy Commissioner, CCSP Cell, Customs, Ahmedabad having his/her office at Room No. 308, 2nd floor, Custom House Building, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, Telephone No. 079-27540671. 4.
