Attention of Trade Associations and other related agencies is invited to this office Public Notice No.30/2013 dated 26.08.2013 regarding levy of Stamp Duty on the Delivery Orders issued by the carriers in respect of imported goods. 2. In this regard, it is brought to the notice that as per the communication received from the Government of Karnataka, w.e.f.01.03.2014, the rate of Stamp duty has been reduced from 0.5% ad-valorem to 0.1% ad-valorem, in addition to exempting the said levy on goods imported which are exempted from the levy of customs duty by the Government of India.
