No. S/26-Misc-09/2014-15/CC Date: 26th Sept., 2014 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 51/2014 Sub: Finalization of Contracts registered under Project Imports Regulations, 1986 prescribing format for Reconciliation Statement reg. Attention of all concerned is invited to the Public Notice No.59/2003 dated 02-06-2003 and 42/2011 dated 03-06-2011, vide which certain documents were prescribed to be submitted by importers for finalization of Contracts. A Reconciliation Statement of all imports was also required to be submitted by the importers. It has been observed that importers are adopting their own methods to prepare such Reconciliation Statements and there is no uniformity in preparation of the same. This has resulted in consumption of huge time during the verification of large number of Bills of Entry vis- -vis Recommendatory Letters and Purchase Orders. Therefore, in order to have a uniform practice of submission of documents for efficient finalization of the Contracts, it is directed that all Importers shall submit the Reconciliation Statement in the following format, henceforth:- Sl. No. R.L. No. Date Quantity and Value as per RL P.O. No. Date (issued against each RL) Quantity and Value as per P.O. Bills of Entry filed against each P.O. Quantity and Value as per B.E. Shortage/Excess , if any, noticed in the actual imports vis- -vis corresponding PO/RL Duty on shortage /excess, if any Remark 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 In respect of old cases, the importers are directed to submit the Reconciliation Statement in above format within one month for early disposal of their cases. -sd/- (ASHUTOSH BARANWAL) Commissioner of Customs (Import)
