No. S/1-31/2011 Imp Date: 29.08.2012 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 55/2012 Sub: New Manual Bill of Entry Module for DTR (Daily Trade Return) purposes reg. Attention of Importers/Exporters, CHAs, and all other concerned is invited to the procedure of noting of Manual Bill of Entry in Mumbai Custom House. After migration from ICES 1.0 to 1.5, a New Module for Manual Bill of Entry for DTR purposes has been introduced. Therefore, it has become necessary to devise a new procedure for noting of Manual Bills of Entry by modifying the conditions of Standing Order No. 7888/2005 dated 18.07.2005. The following procedure is being adopted from 1st June, 2012. 2. The staff posted in Import Noting section would continue to note the Manual Bills of Entry before and after assessment and the Cash Section would continue to enter the duty payment details and collection of duty in the Manual LAN system as per prevailing practice mentioned in S.O. No. 7888/2005 dated 18.07.2005. In addition to the same, it has been decided that the TA/STA posted at Docks shall enter the details of the Manual Bill of Entry into the thin client of ICES 1.5 by using his SSO-ID after Out-of-Charge. The TA/STA shall also enter the duty payment details into ICES 1.5. For this purpose, the role of MBE which is available under ICES 1.5 after application of the patch for Manual B/E for DTR purposes , shall be allocated to the TA/STA, Docks in his SSO-ID. This will help generation of reports on Manual Bills of Entry from the ICES 1.5 also along with the reports at present generated from the Manual LAN system. The data/report retrieved from both Manual LAN system as well as ICES 1.5 for Manual Bs/E shall be analyzed and utilized for revenue and other statistical reports. Any difficulties faced in adoption of the above procedure may be brought to the notice of Additional Commissioner, EDI or Joint Commissioner, Import Noting.
