No. S/22-52 /2011 A(G) Date: 11.08.2011 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 66/2011-12 Sub: Reallocation of work related to assessment of goods cleared under DEPB Scrips and M.C.D.-reg. It is brought to the notice of all Importers /Exporters, CHAs, and all other members of the trade that work related to assessment of goods cleared under DEPB scrips has been reallocated from Commissioner of Customs (EP) to the Commissioner of Customs (Import) in terms of Standing Order No.13/2011 dated 5th May, 2011 issued by the Office of the Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone-I. Consequently the DEPB Registration/Monitoring Cell is hereby created in the import Commissionerate comprising the following officers: 1. Dy./Asstt. Commissioner of Customs 2. Appraising Officer 3. STA/TA The Officers posted in the said Cell shall resume the work of DEPB Registration/Monitoring with effect from 12.08.2011. However, it is clarified that this Cell shall deal with registration/monitoring of only those DEPB licences which are exclusively used for payment of duty and such DEPB licences are not used with any other export Promotion scheme. In the cases where multiple scrips under different Export Promotion Schemes along with DEPB scrips are used, the registration/monitoring work will be continued to be undertaken in EP Commissionerate only. The contents of this Notice may be brought to the knowledge of the constituent members and all stakeholders by the respective Trade and CHA Associations so that DEPB related work is carried out smoothly.
