IGST (EXPORTS) REFUND FORTNIGHT - Customs - 14/2018

Attention is brought to the notice of the trade, exporters and all stake holders regarding special measures taken by Central Board of Excise 8v Customs on liquidation of pendency of IGST Refund Claims. It is seen that about 120 Crores of IGST Refunds of exports through Port of Cochin are pending for clearance. We have noticed that these are pending disbursal due to errors committed by exporters while filing shipping bill and GST returns. A detailed list of the error codes had already been published. CBEC has decided to do a bit of handholding so that the exporters file the Shipping Bills GST Returns correctly and amounts are disbursed in time. It has been decided to further intensify the efforts to liquidate all pending IGST Refund Claims by observing a Special Drive IGST Exports Refund Fortnight beginning from 15 th of March 2018 to 29 th March 2018 . Shri M S Suresh, Assistant Commissioner has been designated as a Special Officer for this purpose. All Exporters are requested to meet him at Room No. 14, Custom House, Willingdon Island, Cochin Phone No. 0484 2668040 with their clarifications so that errors committed can be removed and IGST Claims processed.
