GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FINANCE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS CUSTOM HOUSE, WILLINGDON ISLAND, COCHIN-682009 F.No.S.65/ 13/2018.CCU.CUS Date: 15.03.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 15/2018 Subject: - Formation of EOU Cell ********** Attention is brought to the notice of the trade, exporters and all stake holders of Public Notice No. 01/2018 (CCO) dated 15.01.2018 and Corrigendum dated 19.01.2018, 15.02.2018 , 01.03.2018 regarding Jurisdiction of Commissioner of Customs, Custom House, Cochin. Consequentially following functions within Greater Cochin Development Area shall be under the jurisdiction of Commissioner of Customs, Custom House, Cochin: 1. Duty Free imports by EOU / EHTP/ STP Units, issuance of warehousing Certificate, Bond to Bond transfer, Collection of duty of Customs in case of disposal of Capital Goods (CG) and goods as such by the Unit, Execution of B-17 Bond, demand of duty of Customs in case of default in Net Foreign Exchange (NFE), non-accountal of goods etc, collection of cost recovery charges, Merchant Overtime (MOT). 2. Imports at Concessional rate of duty subject to end-use condition under Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of duty) Rules, 2017 ( Notification 68/2017 dated 30.06.2017 ), Execution of Bond, Monitoring of Utilization and demand of Customs duty in case of default. 3. Installation Certificate for goods imported under EPCG Scheme. 4. Acceptance of Bonds and issue of procurement certificate under provisions of Customs Act, 1962. It has been decided to form a EOU Cell to deal with all these functions. Trade are requested to contact designated officers of this cell to handle all the above functions.
