No. 525 / 47 / 2018-I B. Cus Dated: 06.03.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 10/2018 Sub: Simplification of Customs Procedures in respect of vessels exclusively carrying Coastal Cargo -reg. Attention of all stakeholders and the general public is brought to the Trade Facility Notice No. 10/2015 dated 25.02.2015 issued by this Custom House for simplification of Customs Procedures in respect of vessels exclusively carrying Coastal Cargo. CBEC has further simplified the procedure in respect of vessels carrying exclusive coastal cargo vide CBEC Circular 14/2016 dated 27.04.2016. The Circular is annexed herewith. All stakeholders are to follow the amended procedure in respect of Vessels exclusively carrying Coastal Cargo. It is henceforth directed that no out of charge is required from Superintendent (General) for coastal cargo carried by Vessels exclusively carrying Coastal Cargo. As per the Board Circular 14/2016 , Section 94 is not applicable for cargo being carried by vessels carrying coastal cargo exclusively and therefore no order for clearance of such cargo is required. However, Coastal Arrival Manifest and Coastal Departure Manifest shall be submitted to the Import Bond Section as mentioned in Para 4 (b) of CBEC Circular 14/2016 dated 27.04.2016 . As per Para 10 of CBEC 14/2016 dated 27.04.2016 , the existing procedure stipulated in circular- No. 15/2002-Cus so far as the vessels carrying both EX1IV1 and coastal cargo shall continue to be followed. The above procedure is applicable only to vessels which carry coastal goods exclusively and ply as coastal vessels.
