Extending e-SANCHIT application on all EDI Locations - Customs - 08/2018

Tech PN Dated: 13.03.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 08/2018 Subject: Extending e-SANCHIT application on all EDI Locations-Reg. Attention of all Customs Brokers, Exporters, Importers, Members of the Trade and other stake holders is invited to Board's Circular No. 40/2017 - Customs dated 13.10.2017 on the implementation of the application for uploading of supporting documents electronically i.e. e-SANCHIT on pilot basis and Board's Instruction No. 02/2018- Customs dated 07.02.2018 on extension of e-SANCHIT application to all the EDI location. Also, attention is invited to Public Notice No. 06/2018 dated 13.02.2018 issued by this office on the aforesaid subject. 2. At present e-SANCHIT is on voluntary basis. The Board may decide to make it obligatory to upload documents with effect from March 15, 2018. The Custom Brokers and self filers on ICEGATE are advised to use e-SANCHIT on regular basis. Those Custom Brokers and self-filers who have not filed even a single Bill of entry under e-SANCHIT are advised to start filing the documents on ICEGATE using e-SANCHIT immediately. 3.
