No. AC/Docks - 202/ 80 ID dated 16.10.1982 - complete area (1,77,550 Square Meters) of Sewree Timber Pond area stands de-notified. The Collector of Customs, vide Notification No. - 8, F. No. AC/Docks - 202/ 80 ID dated 16.10.1982, had declared the Sewree Timber Pond , as Customs Notified Area for storage and examination of cargo. The Mumbai Port Trust had informed this office that they want to handover this area to the MMRDA for MTHL project. Mumbai Port Trust has proposed for de-notifying entire Sewree Timber Pond area. Vide Public Notice dated 28.03.2018, a part (30,340 Square Meters) of Customs Notified Area, of Sewree Timber Pond was de-notified. In exercise of powers conferred on me under Section 8 (b) of the Customs Act 1962, l, Principal Commissioner of Customs (General), Mumbai, Zone - I, hereby modify the Notification No. - 8, vide F. No. AC/Docks - 202/ 80 ID dated 16.10.1982, to the extent that remaining notified area (1,47,210 Square Meters) of Sewree Timber Pond area is further de-notified.
