While implementation of the above PN, various trade bodies represented that the above procedure is time consuming and incurring huge additional expenses. The problems being faced by the Exporters have been discussed at CCFC, PTFC meetings and after deliberations M/S VCTPL has provided a dedicated area inside the terminal premises (Total area 12 MT R X 24 M TR =288 MTRs) and infrastructure. As a trade facilitation measure, it has been decided that the place which is earmarked at M/S VCTPL will be used for examination of RMS selected packages of DPD/DPE Containers. Examination of these goods will be done by the Custom Preventive Staff posted at M/S VCTPL and after examination the container(s) will be sealed by one time bottle seal(s) by the Preventive Officer, VCTPL. This measure is expected to reduce the time and costs for exporters and importers. 3. In view of the above guidelines, the earlier PN No. 27/2018 dated 28.06.2018 stands modified to that extent. 4. Difficulties in implementation of the above guidelines, if any, may be brought to the notice of the undersigned. (Dr. D. K. Srinivas) Commissioner of Customs
