II Date: 24.08.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 33/2018 Sub: Ease of doing business - Functioning of Assessment Group (Import) on 6 days a week - Reg. All the Importers, Logistic Providers, Custodians/Terminal Operators, Customs Brokers and the members of trade in general are hereby informed that as a measure of facilitating the trade and promoting ease of doing business, it has been decided that the Assessment Group (Import), comprising of the Appraisers (Group) and Assistant/Deputy Commissioner concerned, will function on 06 days a week, i.e. from Monday to Saturday (except 2nd Saturday), as per regular timings w.e.f. 01.09.2018, in addition to the Assessment Group (Export) which is already functioning on 06 days a week. 2. Hence, all the Importers, Logistic Providers, Custodians/Terminal Operators, Customs Brokers and the members of trade in general are requested to avail the above measure and improve the clearance of import consignments. - Sd - (Dr. D.
