NOTIFICATION NO: 01/2018 (CUSTOMS)(NT)(VSP) Sub: Inclusion of additional area of 35.50 acres as per enclosed drawing, extending the customs area Whereas Gangavaram Port has been notified as Customs Port by the Central Board of Excise and Customs under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, vide Notification No. 85/2007 (NT)-Customs dated 21.08.2007 for the purposes of unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods. Further, Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi, vide Notification No.15/2002-Customs (NT), dated 07.03.2002 as amended by Notification No.78/2014-Customs (NT) dated 16.09.2014 issued under Section 4(1) of the Customs Act, 1962 included the area of Port of Gangavaram within the jurisdiction of the Principal Commissioner of Customs, Visakhapatnam. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 8 (b) of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), I, Dr.D.K.Srinivas, Commissioner of Customs, Visakhapatnam, upon the request of M/s. Gangavaram Port Limited, vide their letter No. GPL/Custom s/2017-18, dated 22.01.2018 for inclusion of additional area of 35.50 acres as per enclosed drawing, hereby extend the Customs Area by including of 35.50 Acres to the existing 717.15 Acres, to be a proper place for unloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods ,declared earlier vide Notification No 01/2008 dated 16.10.08 and subsequently amended vide Notification No.01/2010 (Customs)(NT)(VSP) dated 16.07.2010,Notification No.01/2011 (Customs)(NT)(VSP) dated 18.11.2011 and Notification No.03/2015 (Customs)(NT)(VSP) dated 14.07.2015.
