Attention Of all the Importers, Customs Brokers, other stakeholders and members Of the trade is invited to Public Notice No. 10/2018 dated 20.02.2018 issued by this Custom House, Air Cargo Complex- Chennai, facilitating uploading of digitally signed supporting documents alongwith bills of entry through e-SAINJCHIT on voluntary and optional basis. 2. It has now been decided that it shall be obligatory to upload the supporting documents through e-SAINJCHIT facility for all the bills of entry filed in New Customs House, ACC, Chennai w.e.f. 16.10.2018. 3. The following procedure is prescribed for uploading the supporting documents: i. Hardcopies Of the additional documents required during the assessment should be uploaded through e-SAINJCHIT as- per procedure envisaged in the Public Notice No. 10/2018 dated 20.02.2018. When a Bill of Entry is filed through e SANJCHIT, hard copy of uploaded documents WV ill not be insisted by the Officers. ii. Where submission of documents / certificates in original such as Certificates Of Origin, duty exemption certificate, FTA certificate etc. is mandatory, the same may be submitted to the Assessing Officers / Shed Officers for verification. However, such documents shall also be uploaded on e-SANJCHIT at the time of filing Bill of Entry. 4. Further, it is informed that the step-by-step procedure to upload supporting documents with digital signatures at e-SANCHIT and a list Of FAQs are available on ICEGATE website at https://www.icegate.gov.in/e SANCHIT.htmI. 5. To facilitate smooth functioning of this facility of uploading the supporting document the feedback, queries/difficulties, in implementation of this Public Notice, if any, shall be brought to the notice of the undersigned or may be addressed to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs (EDI) or Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs (Appraising Main) by email to [email protected] (N.
