No. VIII (48)05-19/CUS/TECH/CTD CORRES./2013/4804-18 Date:06.07.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 09/2018 Subject:- Procedure to be followed by Transporters carrying CID (Exports) consignments in terms of the Memorandum to the Protocol to the Treaty of Transit between India Nepal-regarding. Attention of Nepalese exporters, Customs Brokers, Clearing Agents, Transporters and all concerned is invited to part 8 of 'Export Procedure of the Memorandum to Protocol' in the Treaty of Transit between India Nepal. 2.0 In view of detection of large scale diversion of CCD (Exports) consignments during reconciliation exercise under taken by LCS Raxaul LCS Jogbani, following procedures are being prescribed for transit movement of C TD (Exports) consignments in line with public Notice issued by Kolkata Customs:-. (i) The Customs Brokers handling in CTD (Exports) consignments on behalf or (heir Nepalese exporters and transported to Kolkat/Visakhapattanam Port shall henceforth submit letter of Authority for himself as well as transporter carrying said CTD (Exports) consignments from the respective Nepalese exporters. (ii) ND transporter Shull be allowed to carry CTD (Exports) goods unless the transporter is registered with the concerned LCS. Henceforth, it has been decided that all trucks/container trucks which are carrying CTD (Exporter) consignments in transit to Kolkata/Visakhapattanam Customs, the concerned transporter has to get registered with the concerned LCS before 31 st August 2018. Registration will remain valid for one year. Failure to safe transit of goods from the LCS to Kolkata/Visakhapattanam Port to get duly received by Kolkata/Visakhapattanam Customs, the transporter will not Only be deregistered but also appropriate action tinder section 16 section 135 of Customs Act will be initiated. (iii) Transporter is required to submit application in the enclosed prescribed format to Deputy Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner of the LCS for registration of the transporter carrying CIT) (Exports) consignments. (iv) The Deputy Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner of LCS shall after due satisfaction of records for proper transportation of past CIT) consignments shall issue the license to the transporter for a period of One year or renew the already issued license for further period of one year. (vi) The licensed transporter is also required to get his vehicle details registered with the concerned LCS, with which the CT D (Exports) consignments shall be transported. (vi) CTD (Exports) documents as well as LUT/Insurance should also reflect name of transporter, vehicle no. by which CT D (Exports) is intended to be transported along with CHA name.
