No. VIII(48)05-16/CUS/TECH/Public Notice/11/6675-82 Date: 11.09.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 10/2018 Amendment to Public Notice No. 02/2013 dated 15.03.2013 and dated 18.05.2013 Attention of all Exporters, Importers, customs Broke6, Trade and all concerned is invited to Public Notice No. 04/2018 dated 05.04.2018 vide which para 20.6 0f the public Notice No_ 0212013dated 15.03.2013 and 03/2013 dated 07.05.2013 has been amended and pre-audit of EDI drawback claims being undertaken by Deputy/Assistant commissioner Motihari and Deputy/ Assistant commissioner, Forbesganj has been dispensed with in line with practice being followed at other EDI location. Further, in supersession of Public Notice No. 04/2018 dated 05.04.2018, to simplify the procedure and to avoid delay in Drawback dispersal, the submission of copy of BRC by the exporter and creating a Drawback file shipping bill-wise has also been dispensed and there is no need to submit copy of BRC by the exporter and it is also not required to create a drawback file against shipping bills. 2.0 Accordingly para 20.6 of aforesaid Public Notice ls now hereby amended as under 20.6 after actual export of the goods, the drawback claim will be processed in the EDI system by the officer of Drawback branch. There ls no need for filing separate drawback claim, submission of BRC and creation of drawback file. Drawback claim will be sanctioned through ICES-1.5 by the superintendent or Ac/Dc, as the case may be by verifying the documents in EDI system and verification of BRC on EPDMS module in EDI. The status of shipping Bill and sanction of drawback claim can be ascertained from the Enquiry counter set up at the service centre or remote system through ICEGATE. If query related to submission of BRC or any other query has been raised or deficiency noticed, a printout of the query/deficiency may be obtained by the authorised person or the exporter form the service centre or in his own office, if the exporter has connection with ICEGATE. The exporters are advised to reply to such queries including submission of reply regarding reflection of BRC at RBI EDPMS on ICEGATE (link- https://enquiry.icegate.gov.in/enquirvatices/rbiEnouiry ) expeditiously through the service centre. The claim comes in queue of the EDI system only after the reply to queries / deficiencies is entered In the ICES 1.5. Then after the claim will processed by superintendent(Drawback) In the EDI after verifying the correctness of reply including reflection of BRC in EDPMS module n EDI.
