Grant of Reward to Informers pertaining Department to recover arrears of Revenue - Customs - Trade Facilitation Notice No. 04/2018-19

No. VGN (30) 06/TN/18-19 Dated: 06.09.2018 Trade Facilitation Notice No. 04/2018-19 Subject: -Grant of Reward to Informers pertaining Department to recover arrears of Revenue - regarding. In relation to above cited subject, Govt. Of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Excise Customs (Anti-Smuggling Unit) vide Circular No.20/2015 dated 31.07.2015 issued vide F. No. 13011/001/2013-Cus(AS) prescribed guidelines for grant of reward to informers and Government Servants, 2015. 2. As per Para II (i) of the said Circular the reward scheme shall be extended to an informer who gives information regarding the whereabouts, assets, immovable properties etc. (under the provision of the Customs Act, 1962, the Central Excise Act, 1944 and the Chapter V of the Finance Act, 1994 in so far as the said Act contains provisions relating to Service Tax) are recoverable and the information results in recovery of arrears. 3.
