Date: 06.04.2018 PUBLIC NOTICE No. 14/2018-Customs Sub:- Customs - Inclusion of Kakinada Krishnapatnam Ports for the purpose of Imports and Exports under Notification No.32/1997-Customs, dated 01/04/1997, as amended - regarding. *** Attention of all the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, Steamer Agents, Custodians/Customs Cargo Service Providers, Trade Associations/Chamber of Commerce, Members of the RAC/PGC and the Public is invited to the Notification No.32/1997-Customs, dated 01/04/1997, as amended. 2. The duty of Customs on goods imported for execution of an export order for jobbing is exempted under Notification No.32/1997-Customs, dated 01/04/1997, as amended, subject to following conditions stipulated there in. As per condition number (vi) of the said Notification, the imports and exports shall be undertaken only through seaports, airports and ICDs specified in the said Notification. However, the Commissioner of Customs can permit import and export through any other sea port, airport, ICD or through land customs stations. 3. Since Kakinada Port and Krishnapatnam Port are not in the specified list of ports through which goods can be imported and exported for availing the benefit under the said Notification No.32/1997-Customs, dated 01/04/1997 some of the Importers have represented this office to enable these ports also for import and export under the said Notification. 4. On considering the representations, in terms of proviso to condition number (vi) of the said Notification No.32/97-Customs, dated 01/04/1997 it has been decided to permit imports and exports under Notification No.32/1997-Customs, dated 01/04/1997 as amended, through Krishnapatnam Port and Kakinada Port (Deep Water Port and Anchorage Port) subject to following all the conditions stipulated in the said Notification. Further, import and export of goods shall also be subjected to conditions of Import - Export policy and also any other conditions / restrictions imposed by the Board from time to time. 5. Any difficulty faced in implementation of the above, should immediately be brought to the notice of the undersigned. 6. Action to be taken in terms of the decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as Standing Order for the purpose of officers and staff. (SUDHA KOKA) COMMISSIONER
