It is to bring to the notice of the trade that vide Notification No. 27/2014 CE ( NT) dated 16.09.2014 issued under F. No. 96/42/2014-CX.1, which shall come into force on 15 October, 2014, an Audit Commissionerate has been created in Central Excise zone, Ranchi. The jurisdiction of this Audit Commissionerate has also been specified in the aforementioned notification which is as follows: Name of the Commissionerate Jurisdiction in terms of Commissioners of Central Excise Commissioner of Central Excise Audit, Patna (i) Ranchi (Ranchi-l), (ii) Bokaro (Ranchi-ll), (iii) patna, (iv) Dhanbad (v) Jamshedpur This Audit Commissionerate will consist of 07 Circles having locations and jurisdiction as mentioned against their names in the table below: Name of the Circle Location Jurisdiction in terms of Commissioner of central Excise Jamshedpur Jamshedpur Jamshedpur Ranchi Ranchi Ranchi (Ranchi-I) Bokaro Bokaro Bokaro (Ranchi-II) Dhanbad Dhanbad Dhanbad patna Patna Patna Hqrs.-I Patna Patna, Ranchi (Ranchi-l), Bokaro (Ranchi-ll), Dhanbad, Jamshedpur Hqrs.-II Patna Patna, Ranchi (Ranchi-l), Bokaro (Ranchi-ll), Dhanbad, Jamshedpur Administrative setup and functions of this Audit Commissionerate will be governed as per guidelines issued by the central Board of Excise Customs vide Circular No. 985/09/2014-CX dated 22.09.2014. All the trade associations are requested to bring the content of this trade notice to the attention of their members in particular and the trade in general.
