THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - 695001 Dated 10.06.2016 Trade Notice No. 13/2016 - Cx. Sub: - Indirect Tax Dispute Resolution Scheme. 2016 Reg. For early settlement of disputes pending in appeal before the Commissioner (Appeals) as on 1st March, 2016 Indirect Tax Dispute Resolution Scheme, 2016 has been notified vide No 29/2016-CE (NT) dated 31st May, 2016. All pending disputes in respect of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax are covered in this scheme. An assessee can make a declaration to the designated authority and obtain acknowledgement. The declarant shall pay tax due along with the interest and penalty @ 25% within 15 days of the receipt of acknowledgement and intimate the designated authority within 7 days of making such payment, giving the details of payment made along with the proof thereof. On receipt of such proof the designated authority shall, within 15 days pass an order of discharge of dues. In such cases the proceedings against the assessee shall be closed and they will also get immunity from prosecution. The last date of declaration is 31st December 2016.
