Implementation of Paperless Processing under SWIFT- Uploading Supporting Documents - Customs - PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 02/2018

Kind attention of all the Importers, Custom House Brokers, trade and other stakeholders is invited to CBEC Circular No. 40/2017-Customs dated 13.10.2017, and the Public Notice No. 15/2017 dated 19.12.2017 issued by this office on the above subject. The said Public Notice lays,out procedure for pilot implementation Of paperless processing under Single Window interface for Facilitation of Trade (SWIFT). 2. Accordingly, all Appraising Groups were directed to carry out pilot operation from 26.12.2017 for 15 days for paperless processing under SWIFT. 3. The said pilot implementation is now made mandatory in respect of Appraising Group 1 and 4 from 01.03.2018 onwards. The supporting documents in connection with each Bill of Entry shall be uploaded on ICEGATE as per the procedure mention in Para 3, 3.1 and 3.2 of the Public Notice No. 15/2017 dated 19.12.2017. 4. For Appraising Group 2, 3, 5, and 6, the online uploading of documents shall be optional. However, the importers and Custom House Agents are requested to upload maximum documents by using e-SANCHIT application. 5. Difficulties, if any, in implementation of this Public Notice may be brought to the notice of the Additional Commissioner (Technical), ICD, TRI) (Import) Commissioner ate.
