No. VIII/48-188/Cus-T/2018 Dated: 18-04-2020 Addendum I to Public Notice No. 05/.CCP/lMR/2020 Sub.: Request for Amendments and Waiver of Late Fee Charges in the Bills of Entry and regularization of Prior 85 Advance Bills of Entry through e-mail procedure as facilitation during outbreak of COVID-19 reg. Attention of the Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers and all other stakeholders is invited to the Public Notice No. 05/CCP/JMR/2020 dated 31.03.2020 issued by this office on the above cited subject. Kind attention is drawn to an Order dated 15.04.2020 issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, whereby the lockdown measures have been extended up to 03.05.2020 throughout the country. 2. In view of above facts, Para 3 of Public Notice No. 05/CCP/JMR/2020 dated 31.03.2020 issued by the Commissioner of Customs (Prev.), Jamnagar on the above subject, shall be read as under: 3. Late filing of Bills of Entry attracts late fee in terms of 'Bill of Entry (Forms) Amendment Regulations, 2017' notified vide Notification No. 27/2017 Cus. (N.T.) dated 31,03.2017 and 'Bill of Entry (Electronic Integrated Declaration and Paperless Processing) Regulations, 2018' notified vide Notification No. 36/2018 Cus. (N.T.) dated 11.05.2018 read with second proviso to Section 46(3) of the Customs Act, 1962. Therefore, keeping in view the exigency due to outbreak of Corona Virus pandemic and, in order to facilitate the trade for clearance of the import consignments, it is decided in the public interest that those bills of entries for clearance of import consignment which has arrived at the respective Custom Port/ICDs on or after 21.03.2020, will not attract any late fee charges, if filed late for clearance of such import consignments, for the time being and till further orders. 3. Public Notice No. 05/CCP/JMR/2020 dated 31.03.2020 is amended to the above extent and other contents of said Public notice remain unchanged. 4. All trade association/members of Customs Broker Association are requested to take note and publicize the content of this amended Public Notice among their members / constituents. 5. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice will be considered as Standing Order for the purpose of officers/staff. 6. Difficulties faced, if any, may be brought to the notice of the undersigned. 7. This issues with the approval of the Commissioner of Customs (Prev.) Jamnagar.
