Attention is invited to Board's letter F.No. 93/56/87-CX.3 dated the 17th December, 1987 wherein the classification of paper re-inforced plastic laminated sheets was reiterated. However instances have come to the notice of the Board that assessees have been evading Central Excise duties by mis-classifying this product. The Board desires that the classification of this commodity in your collectorate should be verified and divergence, if any, corrected.
