Representations have been received from the trade stating that the manufacturers purchasing small quantities of goods are facing lot of difficulties in obtaining subsidiary gate passes and therefore a facility to issue multiple gate passes covering the small lots of a consignment going into a single truck etc. may be given. 2. The matter has been examined in consultation with the Collectors of Customs and Central Excise. It is observed that the present system of issuing one gate pass for one consignment is working satisfactorily. Board has therefore decided that this system need not be disturbed. 3. Trade interests may also be informed suitably.
