Central Excise - Drawing and despatch of samples - Reiteration of the instructions on the report of the study conducted by D.P. A.R. Circular No. 13/87 Dated 9-2-1987 [From F. No. 223/15/87-CX.6] Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Central Excise - Drawing and despatch of samples - Reiteration of the instructions on the report of the study conducted by D.P. A.R. The Department of Personnel Administrative Reforms conducted a study of the procedure for filing and approval of classification and price lists in Central Excise matters. As a sequel to this study, the Department of Personnel A.Rs. have made the following Recommendation No. 6 on drawing and despatch of samples : "Detailed instructions in respect of drawing and despatch of samples should be issued by the Central Revenue Control laboratory and Circulated to all field formations." 2. Pursuant to the Recommendation, Director of Inspection (Customs and Central Excise) was entrusted with the task of having a study of this matter and submitting his report to the Board. That Directorate has stated in his report that Board's instructions issued on the subject relating to drawal and despatch of samples, frequency and quantity to be drawn, packing and disposal of samples are quite adequate and these instructions may require reiteration by the Board. 3. In view of the position explained above, you are requested to ensure that the following instructions are strictly followed by all concerned officers under your charge. (1) F.
