No. 211/58(B)/86-CX.6, Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) New Delhi Subject : Facility of credit under Modvat when GP 1 or subsidiary GP 1 is lost or misplaced - Regarding I am directed to invite your kind attention to the Board's Circular No. 40/82-CX.6, dated 30th November 1982 issued from F. No. 2/2/96/81-CX.6 wherein procedure for availing of proforma credit under Rule 56A in cases the original GP 1 is lost in transit has been prescribed and to say that these instructions shall apply Mutatis Mutandis to availment of credit under the Modvat Scheme. 2. Necessary instructions may be issued to the field officers and the trade may be informed suitably. 3. The receipt of these instructions may please be acknowledged.
